Sony Cybershot DSCW1 5MP Digital Camera
I just bought a Sony Cybershot DSCW1 5MP Digital Camera. From Dell not Amazon. It was $10 cheaper. I just ordered Cluetrain Manifesto I got it for $4.99 Update: Great book. one of those books that you really wish your manager would read. I made changes because of it (added forums to all my webs sites and now blog more).
Code Complete 2 is out. I have not added it to my wish list as I have already placed an order. I'll post a review once it arrives. Update: It arrived I am reading it now. Update 2: I am a slow reader. My C# and Christmas arrived. Delphi for .NET Developer's Guide Delphi for .NET Developer's Guide has now been released. It will be on our bookshelf soon. Although I wont be using any .Net for serious work until there is a compelling case for it. Delphi already provides many of the feeatures of .Net. Coming from another language I would jump at .Net, but from Delphi there seems like no great rush.
I have not tried Delphi .net yet. I am waiting for some books. Developing Web and .NET Distributed Applications with Delphi looks good. I have added it to my Wish List. Update: This book got cancelled. Here is a link for the yet to be publised Delphi for .NET Developer's Guide Rapid Development : Taming Wild Software Schedules Mastering Perl 5 is a great introduction to Perl for Delphi developers
The Inmates Are Running the Asylum The Inmates Are Running the Asylum is a great explaination of why a lot af software sucks. It also offers advice on how to make it suck less
Software Engineering Classics are classics becuase they are good.
Charlie Calvert's Delphi 4 is an old book but cheap now.
Mastering Delphi 7 is a great way to catch up on what is new in D7.
We write in Delphi this is one of the best Delphi Developer's Handbook. We know because we buy nearly all of them.
A great book on development.Peopleware is a lot of common sense, but we know common sense is not all that common. To be on the safe side - read the book.
This is the bible for all software developers. If you do not read Code Complete.then you are reinventing the wheel and making rookie mistakes.
